Community Relations Specialist- Cary Medical Center January 2024-Current (Part-time)
- I am the Project Director for Pink Aroostook. Pink Aroostook offers education and support to assist those in Aroostook County, ME who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. The financial burden of medication, wigs/prosthetics, mental health resources, gas, and lodging are only some of the hardships that can prevent healing. My role includes:
- Offering financial stipends & gas cards to patients in need
- Creating brochures and educational resources to help patients better understand both their financial and treatment options
- Meeting with patients to offer emotional support
- Organizing and directing all fundraisers, including Blood Drives, Veterans Honor Ride, Cary Cares Parade, Give a Smile Cookie Campaign, Survivors Breakfast, and assisting with all of our hospitals 100th anniversary events.
